Research interests

I am interested in the interplay between mathematics and physics, in particular in quantum mechanics. My research focuses on the role of

(Quantum) integrability and quantum groups
Representation theory
Special functions, in particular elliptic functions

in various (mostly) quantum mechanical settings, such as

Spin chains, in particular those with interactions that go beyond nearest-neighbour.
The AdS/CFT correspondence, in particular the spectral problem, deformations and correlation functions of maximally supersymmetric Yang-Mills theory
Calogero-Sutherland and Ruijsenaars-Schneider models as well as related quantum many-body problems.

Representation theory seminar

Since October 2023 I have been running a study group/journal club/seminar series on representation theory aimed at applications in physics. We discuss various topics that go beyond a typical group theory course, such as Young diagrams, quantum groups, triality and the plethystic program. The audience varies from bachelor students to staff members. More information can be found on Moodle.
